about me

I’m Kathi, a certified herbalist from Baumgarten an der March in Lower Austria, with a university degree in archaeology. :)

My archaeology studies allowed me to combine my love of travel with my work, and I’ve taken part in international excavations in France and Turkey, as well as digs in Austria.

Over time, though, I realized that this wasn’t quite the path I wanted for my life, and in 2018 I stumbled upon my passion for creating handmade skincare.

Together with my brother, I work on his organic farm (www.14eroele.at), where we produce high-quality, cold-pressed oils – which I also use in my products and workshops.

Since 2019, I’ve been offering workshops where I show people how to make simple, high-quality skincare products and reconnect with nature. My courses are perfect for anyone who wants to learn how to make skin-friendly care products, herbal remedies, or eco-friendly cleaning solutions from scratch.

At "unmasked nature", I aim to share my love and knowledge of wild plants and natural skincare, helping others reconnect with nature and uncover the beauty and benefits of the natural world.

Whether you're just beginning your journey or looking to deepen your understanding, I'm here to guide you every step of the way. Let's unmask the secrets of nature together!

Herbs have become an integral part of my daily life — whether in a cup of tea, in the kitchen, as a remedy, or in natural cosmetics, there's not a day that goes by without them.

My commitment to using only organic and sustainable ingredients while supporting small businesses and farms is at the heart of everything I do.

my experience

Since 2019, I have been offering annual workshops focused on medicinal herbs, home remedies, botanical skincare products, and natural cleaning solutions. In addition, I lead herbal walks throughout the year, guiding participants to reconnect with nature and discover the healing power of plants around us.

In 2020, I also began contributing a regular herbal column in my community newspaper, sharing knowledge and tips on the natural benefits of herbs and their many uses in everyday life.

my mission with unmasked nature

sustainability & supporting
small businesses

I am deeply committed to sustainability, which means prioritizing eco-friendly practices in every aspect of my work. This includes supporting small businesses and local farms, ensuring that our ingredients are ethically sourced and that we contribute positively to our communities. By choosing to work with small-scale producers, we help to nurture local economies and promote responsible agriculture.

empowering through DIY

One of my central missions is to empower people to take control of their own wellness. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to make their own high-quality personal care products. By teaching you how to create your own natural cosmetics and remedies, I aim to help you reclaim your power from big corporations and make informed choices about what you put on your skin.

health and
simplicity

Taking care of your health doesn’t require complex routines or an abundance of products. I am dedicated to showing you that you can achieve excellent results with just a few high-quality, natural ingredients. Less is more when it comes to nurturing your skin and well-being. My mission is to demonstrate that simplicity and quality go hand in hand, and that true self-care is accessible to everyone.

transparency and integrity

Transparency is at the core of what I do. I am dedicated to ensuring that every product is free from petroleum-based ingredients, plastic, silicones, and nanoparticles. My goal is to offer products that are not only safe for you but also gentle on the planet.
